Let it snow!

It was finally seasonally warm out today so we could get outside and play in the snow with the little man. We had a blast riding around in the sled (at times it was Cade and I and baby Felch..thanks to big, strong daddy), throwing snowballs for Bella, sliding at the park and at home and playing with Bella.

It's a....baby

By now, most of you know that Felch baby number two is scheduled to arrive July 25th. We couldn't be more excited to have a new member of the family and sibling for Cade. There's nothing quite as exciting as seeing those two little lines...

We've been trying to prepare Cade for the new arrival by reading "I'm a big brother" and talking about babies. He loves kissing and hugging mommy's belly saying "baby." He also think it's quite hilarious to point at Jon's belly jokingly and say "baby." To which Jon responds sternly/jokingly, "Oh, no, Cade, there's no baby in daddy's belly," again putting Cade into fits of giggles.

In light of recent events, we can't help but feel especially blessed that God has given us a new baby to love and share with all of our family. On Friday, we have our ultrasound appointment so we'd appreciate your ongoing prayers that our little baby bean is healthy. If the acrobatics in my belly are any indication, this child will be just as spirited as his or her older brother!

We are also hoping to find out whether baby Felch is a boy or girl...the planners that Jon and I are. We are set on a boy name - Dane Garrison - but we are still deciding on a girl name. We would love it if you would provide your input on our girl names...if you're interested, please vote in the poll on the right side of the blog...or feel free to leave a comment with your suggestion. All names will be considered, but there are no guarantees..ha ha ha.

With that, the polls are open..vote early and often.

Dance Party

Cade's picked up a new dance move, which we have affectionately dubbed the "funky chicken." After being out of commission with bad colds Wednesday - Friday, Cade and I and Auntie Lys had to partake in a little dance party tonight to capture the funky chicken for our faithful blog followers to see...can you guess which song Cade had to request? Oh yes, "Ice, Ice, Baby" of course. Every time I have the iPod on in the kitchen, Cade comes running in saying, "dance, mama?" - "ice, ice, baby?" See for yourself...

Happy Hearts

On Friday, we had Cade's Valentine concert at school. Slowly, but surely, we saw Cade's little friends file out on stage...all of them too shy to sing or practice their "eye - love - you." As we looked for Cade, we saw him waiting in the wings with his little friend, Austin..both of them too shy to even come out. So, the teacher had to carry the two oldest boys in the class. I suppose the theater arts are not a likely career choice for our sweet little man.

But he does have so much more going for him...like his sweet, innocent, giggle...his eyes that light up a room...his infectious spirit...his sense of wonder...and his unconditional love.

Our hearts are full...we love you so very much. We are so blessed to have you in our lives...and we are honored to be your mom and dad. You make us so happy and prouder than you'll ever know. We love you sweet little valentine.

All you need is love. Love is all you need.
Happy Valentine's Day from our hearts and home to yours!
xoxo

Happy Birthday Sweet Boy...

Before you go to sleep
Say a little prayer
Every day in every way
It's getting better and better
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful boy...

Happy birthday sweet, beautiful boy. You've blessed mommy and daddy's life more than you'll ever know. We love you with all that we are and can't wait to watch you continue to grow.
